My latest column for the Publican is a return to one of my favourite themes – the wilful distortion by the British media of the facts around binge drinking. I do go on about it but that’s because it’s a live issue and one which every beer fan must engage with – as this piece demonstrates.

We seem to be suffering from the same Media Blindness as well! Your column listed several issues that have been either mirrored by events/issues in Australia or were stories that were reported by the media here! And our overall alcohol consumption is dropping too.
We all need to keep on it – it's not the final tap of the hammer that cracks the granite boulder, it's the thousands leading up to it!
